Dean, Agriculture, Business, and Technology
Highland Community College is accepting applications for the position of Dean of Agriculture, Business, and Technology, with an expected start date of July 1, 2025. The Dean provides direction and leadership within the areas of Agriculture, Business, and Technology Programs. The Dean will oversee the development, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of instructional programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all facets of agriculture, business and technology education.
- Responsible for program development.
- Oversee dual credit within the division.
- Secure funding and manage grants.
- Accountable for budgeting oversight.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
What We’re looking For
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in vocational education, business education, agriculture, administrative or a related field
- Five (5) years teaching experience in a business or technical field, along with some non-academic work experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong management skills, along with the ability to delegate tasks and authority.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Experience in administering instructional programs and related support activities, coordinating with area career and technical centers, and experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
A successful criminal background check is required for this position. A valid driver’s license is needed.

Salary & Benefits
- The salary range for the position is $75,648 - $113,472.
